At Lüminus, we believe that regular dental visits, combined with x-rays and cleanings, are the key to maintaining sound oral health. However, patients are often scarred by previous poor dental experiences. These visits can leave individuals feeling frustrated and may even cause anxiety. We want to ensure that our patients are stress-free and enjoy their visit to our clinic, leaving them with a positive dental experience.

One way we strive to make our patient experience a good one, is with our user-friendly online booking system. Sometimes making an appointment and finding a time that matches your schedule can be difficult. At Lüminus, you can simply fill out our online form and choose a time and date that is best for you, and we will work to accommodate the time frame you have requested. In addition, we provide online appointment reminders which will ensure that despite booking well in advance, you will be made aware, alleviating the stress of a missed appointment.

Our dental team also ensures that we communicate with our patients and explain things clearly, so you are aware of exactly what is going on every step of the way. At Lüminus, we believe that when it comes to your oral health, being honest and communicating effectively can go a long way with your overall experience.

Once at our office, you will be warmly greeted by our dynamic team of secretaries: Chantal and Sylvie. Before even taking a seat in our state-of-the-art treatment rooms, Isabelle, our patient care manager, will greet and meet with you. At Lüminus, we pride ourselves on getting to know our patients. You’ll have a chance to chat about not only dentistry, but whatever is on your mind…life, family, friends. We want to understand your concerns and the aspirations you have for your smile and oral health. At Lüminus, we want to promote lifelong relationships, built on trust and confidence, and exceptional care.

After your personal visit with Isabelle, she will accompany you to your treatment room where you will be cared for by Roxanne, Chloé, Charline or Gabrielle, our Rockstar hygienists. They will guide you through a thorough evaluation of your oral health. Smile…we’ll take digital photographs and X-rays of your teeth and smile. You’ll have an oral cancer screening and oral health exam and most often, you’ll have your teeth cleaned and polished.

Together, we’ll address what we can do to realize your needs and wants.

KEEPING THE LÜMINUS COMMUNITY SAFE

Safety begins even BEFORE your dental visit does.

Tech-enabled screening

Prior to your visit, we send a digital pre-visit health questionnaire to ask if you’ve been ill or have been around anyone who’s been ill. If you have, we’ll ask you to reschedule your appointment and we’ll make doing this easy for you. This helps keep everyone safe and healthy.

Contactless check-in

We’ll collect your insurance and credit card information digitally, ensuring a contactless check-in, saving time, and making for a shorter and safer visit.

Safety is our top priority WHEN you arrive.

We focus your health at every step.

TEMPERATURE SCREENING

We’ll take your temperature with an infrared contactless thermometer. Feeling a little warm? We’ll ask you to reschedule.

NEED A MASK

Masks are required at the clinic. If you forgot to bring your own, we’ll provide you with one.

Social distancing is important

We’ll require that everyone maintain a safe distance between each other as they move about the clinic.

Staggered visit times

To encourage safety, we keep overlap in the hallways to a minimum and maintain a calm and quiet environment.

Equipment safety

All of our clinical equipment is either single-use or thoroughly sterilized by state-of-the-art medical-grade sterilizers that are constantly tested and regulated.

Enhanced PPE

Our clinical team will tend to you in medical gowns, high-level protective masks and face shields.

Air filtration

Each treatment room is outfitted with a non-ozone producing 5-level air purifier with a 2-stage 99.7% efficient true HEPA filter that purifies an area of 2500 square feet each hour.

Safety updates

We are closely monitoring recommendations from the Public Health Agency, the CNESST, the Order of Dentists of Quebec and the Canadian Dental Association. As they update their guidelines, we update our safety practices.
